From World Energy Transition Summit:

Registration is now open for World Energy Transition Summit 2023!

On 20 September, we are bringing together world-leading energy experts, high-level government officials and private sector leaders from North America and beyond to take stock of the global energy transition, ignite crucial momentum and forge powerful alliances.

The Summit will host a dynamic forum to propel concrete strategies, spearhead technological innovations, accelerate investments and establish pivotal energy policy frameworks essential for realising a net-zero future.

The record-breaking heatwaves worldwide emphasise the urgent need for addressing and adapting to climate-induced challenges. It is essential to minimise their negative impact and enhance resilience in all sectors. As energy systems underpin the acceleration of decarbonising multiple sectors, now is the time to reassess the challenges and opportunities in implementing clean energy solutions ahead of the Global Stocktake at COP28 in December. In order to concert action and collaboration across all fronts, the World Climate Foundation is hosting World Energy Transition Summit 2023 in New York during Climate Week NYC.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has showcased that the United States is positioning itself to lead the race to climate neutrality by channelling crucial funds into innovating clean energy solutions and infrastructure. To foster strong alliances and develop a clear outlook of the energy transition in the US, we will convene energy leaders from the US and around the world.

World Energy Transition Summit will focus on exchanging best practices and innovations in the clean energy sector. Through panel discussions and keynotes, we will explore new opportunities and tools for accelerating the decarbonisation of energy systems and deploying investments in clean energy in this decade.

Join Us at World Energy Transition Summit to:

  • Take stock of the energy transition and foster progress towards achieving 1.5°C ahead of COP28
  • Explore emerging trends in clean energy innovations, policies and investments
  • Define roadmaps and action plans for a rapid and just energy transition in line with net-zero targets by 2030
