Students and Young Professionals: Get FREE Access To “Downstream” Networking Event

As part of this year’s Canadian Water Summit, Water Canada is launching a student/early career professional networking event called “Downstream” to bring current and future generations of water industry professionals together.

It will take place on June 3rd, 2022  at Fallsview Casino Resort, 6380 Fallsview Boulevard, Niagara Falls, ON L2G 7X5.

The goal of this speed networking event is to give students and early career industry professionals an opportunity to learn from and network with experts representing different streams of Canada’s water sector. They will take part in a series of seven 15-minute roundtable discussions facilitated by experienced water professionals.

The discussions are constructed to focus on trends in the stream, challenges, and ultimately opportunities for early career professionals. Participants will come away with key contacts, information, and a better understanding of potential career paths available to them.

During the event we will have notetakers on hand to capture participants’ thoughts, questions and comments. Water Canada will create a follow-up report designed to assist water industry organizations in attracting and retaining the next generation of water leaders.

Participants that take part in Downstream are also invited to attend the rest of the conference activities happening at the Canadian Water Summit on Friday June 3rd. This includes a networking breakfast, panel discussion on diversity and a keynote address from Simon Jackson, Founder of the Spirit Bear Youth Coalition.

There is no cost for you to attend. Interested industry organizations are sponsoring student/young professional tickets as a means of giving back to the industry. You will have to get yourself to Niagara Falls for the day.
