Education is the foundation of our approach.

We are committed to inspiring and supporting youth by providing them the knowledge and resources to make a difference in their communities and around the world. Our environmental and experiential education programs include immersive and virtual learning opportunities that address the most pressing issues of our time.

Educational Resources

The Bridge

The Bridge invites youth aged 14-30 to experience a virtual SOI expedition via digital events, creative materials and engaging content. New content is released each month focusing on a specific theme related to the Polar Regions, and the current challenges and opportunities facing youth and the environment. Much like an SOI expedition, The Bridge provides a platform to learn, listen, create and explore with like-minded youth on topics such as climate change, Indigenous knowledge, ocean conservation, Arctic policy and more!

Sustainable Blue Economy

Blue Futures Pathways provides Canadian youth with education, employment and funding opportunities to inspire them and help them develop successful careers in the sustainable blue economy, which encompasses the marine, freshwater, and ice systems and presents employment opportunities ranging from wastewater management on the Prairies to search and rescue in the Arctic.

  • “There is nothing more meaningful in life than to meet young people and feel that they are full of hope for the future of the Arctic, despite the uncertainties that climate change is causing. As long as we can connect the knowledge of the past with the realities of the present, we can create the ideas of the future.”

Aqqaluk Lynge former President of the Inuit Circumpolar Council Canada, and former Member of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
