This extraordinary expedition will bring together twenty-five youth (aged 14-24) from around the world, with a team of experts, educators, elders, researchers, and artists. Together we will explore coastal Labrador, Canada, including the incredible Torngat Mountains National Park. The expedition will focus on experiential learning and discovery, connecting to nature, to knowledge, to each other, and to ourselves.
Our floating home and classroom will be the Canadian icebreaker, MV Polar Prince. Every day, our team will have unique and inspiring hands-on experiences that dive deep into culture, climate change, ocean conservation, biodiversity, history, and related policy and governance. As an Ocean Decade initiative, we will also have the opportunity to explore some pending protected and conserved areas such as the proposed Imappivut marine conserved area.
